History
Dream and Mission
The year was 1983.

Early Creative Years 1983
With the dream of creating not just another daycare facility, but one that would be a leader and pioneer in early childhood development and developmental programs in Nashua, one that other daycare facilities could only strive to model, Bobbie Smith opened the doors of Creative Years Child Development and Learning Center.
From its modest beginnings, within a small 1,200 square foot clubhouse located in the heart of a large apartment complex in South Nashua, Creative Years’ mission has simply been more than to just provide consistent, reliable, safe, clean and affordable care for children in the local community.
It is also our responsibility to provide an atmosphere that encourages social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development of the whole child, your child.
During its first four years the child development center provided quality childcare for 33 children, ages three through six years. But by 1986, as the waiting list for enrollment began to swell, expansion seemed inevitable.
A Leader in Childcare and Early Childhood Development Programs
Bobbie realized the trend for working parents to be as close to their child’s daycare as possible.

Creative Years 1987
This vision, and the 1987 expansion, resulted in a child care center to be located within a professional office building; the first of its kind in Nashua.
Creative Years’ new home was to be a 2,500 square foot facility located in Trafalgar Square. The location of this newer and larger facility, within an large professional office park, would allow working families the opportunity to have easy access to their children any time of the day.
However, the opening of the new daycare facility within an office building would not be the only first. Creative Years also answered the call for another growing need of working families and it was to be the first childcare center in the State of New Hampshire to offer infant care.
In 2000, wanting to provide more indoor and outdoor space for its children, once again feeling the need to provide more opportunities and a better developmental program, Creative Years, moved to its current location at 30 Broad Street in Nashua.

Creative Years 2000
Creative Years continues with their tradition and mission of providing quality daycare and developmental programs for working families in and around the Nashua and Southern New Hampshire area.
The Creative Years family includes staff members who have been part of Creative Years since its humble beginnings in 1983. These teachers’ years of service collectively combine to provide over 200 years of knowledge and experience in the education and nurturing of young children. This consistency within a child development program is likely unmatched by any other childcare facility in the area.
It is estimated that thousands of children have been part of the Creative Years family and the tradition continues with the 165 children currently in their care year round.
Today, almost thirty years later, while the dream may have been fulfilled, the mission on which Creative Years Child Development and Learning Center was founded, still continues.
